Why Mission Generation?

Objectives of Mission Generation Graduates –

Mission Generation graduates will demonstrate:

1. Intimacy with Jesus and the heart of a worshipper
• Increasing love for God
• A lifestyle of prayer and communion with God
• Passionate praise and worship to God
• Progressively knowing, hearing and experiencing God
 
2. The Kingdom of God as a disciple of Christ
• How to be discipled, and disciple others
• How to develop a hearing heart and good listening skills
• How to develop a lifelong, love for God’s Word and ways
• How to get the most out of the Bible and have a basic theological foundation
• How to apply Jesus’ worldview to current issues and become world-changers
• How to honor and submit to authority and the elders among us
• How the power of the Cross and the blood conform us to Christ, as we deny ourselves daily, and confess and forsake sinful patterns.

3. Covenant Relationships and fellowship in the family of God
• To know God as a loving, caring Father and as a ruling King
• To have a heart change from ‘me-focus’ to living in a spiritual community
• To form and maintain committed relationships and relate to all people in God’s covenantal love
• To walk in pure relationships between young men and women, honoring one another, so as not to defraud one another, or distract from their devotion to Christ.
• To speak the truth in love, choosing to resolve conflicts, overlooking faults, and seeking another’s highest good, as a spiritual family and a covenant community.

4. Stewardship as a son and daughter in the family
• To become a self-disciplined person, moving from passivity or laziness to a godly work ethic and pursuing excellence
• To develop the heart of a servant, free from a performance mentality, so that they may be who God created them to be, no matter what others say or do.
• To use talents in art, music, drama, according to the individual’s ability and calling
• To discover creative and innovative ways, and utilize a variety of talents and abilities to demonstrate His Kingdom
5. Evangelism and Mission as an ambassador of Christ
• To be motivated by the compassion of Christ to serve the poor, evangelize the lost, heal the sick, restore the fatherless, and minister deliverance to the spiritually oppressed
• To be able to speak effectively, equipped to share the Gospel message, share personal testimony, and teach Biblical truths, to those from varied backgrounds
• To train through hands-on ministry experience in a variety of settings in the local church, the marketplace, and the community at large
• To reach the lost by manifesting the power of the kingdom of heaven, especially to heal and prophesy
